Organic Breakfast Tea

My Review

Mighty Leaf’s Organic Breakfast tea is a blend of teas from Assam, Ceylon and Darjeeling. Dominated by the Assam leaf in the mouth and the Ceylong leaf in the nose, Darjeeling’s subtler notes tended to fade into the background, but that is perhaps understandable. This is a robust tea, but one with some finesse. Those new to loose leaf tea will find this instantly familiar, as it does what most standard supermarket-grade tea bag teas do — it just does it better, offering a smoother cup of tea with more points of interest. It does fall a little flat after the initial burst of flavour, but in a breakfast tea, that’s more or less expected.
