O-Cha: Japanese Green Tea Experts

If you’re looking for some good Japanese green tea – I mean, seriously good – I can’t recommend O-Cha.com highly enough.
I’ve bought tea from O-Cha on a number of occasions, and will continue to do so whenever I want to spoil myself with some of the best Japanese green tea available.
O-Cha are based in Japan, but I’ve found their delivery time to be exceptional. I’ve never had to wait more than a week. Granted, I’m based in Australia, so it might be a little different for you depending on where you live.
Because O-Cha ships directly from Japan, you can rest assured that the tea you’re receiving is as fresh as it gets. For example, I pre-ordered some 2009 Kagoshima Shincha from O-Cha and received it within a couple weeks of harvesting time. Suffice it to say that drinking tea as fresh as that was a wonderful experience!
Here are a couple of my favourite O-Cha teas:
- Organic Matcha “Kaoru Supreme”: I ordered this for my wife as a Christmas present, along with a tea whisk and (spoon). It cost more than any other tea I had bought at that stage, but it was worth every cent.
- Kagoshima Shincha Yutaka Midori 2009: This was my first experience with Shincha and it didn’t let me down. A brilliant green tea with a wonderful dry aroma and depth of character I have rarely experienced in other teas. This tea isn’t available in shincha form anymore, though the sencha is readily available.
